How to use the Dr. Dabber Switch:

You can use the Switch with both dry herb and wax/concentrate which is very convenient for a connoisseur that like to enjoy all the tasty alternatives out there, no matter what type it is. To change between the herb and wax mode you just have to flip the button on the bottom of the unit. When you decided what mode to use it in, you need to fill the load cup with your preferred material, adjust the temperature to your favoruite temp and enjoy the amazing vapour this unit produces. My experience was that when I used the Dr. Dabber Switch with herb I found it to work best on the highest temp. But when used with concentrate I had awesome success with great vapour at lower temps, my guess though is that for someone that wants massive dab hits, the higher temps will come in handy.

Pro Tip: When you use the Switch with dry herb it’s much easier to pre-load the herb cup before placing it in the unit.

Temperature and Heating:

With the Switch, you are being spoilt when it comes to the variety of temperature settings so we got nothing to complain about here. You can start vaping already at 300°F/149°C and all the way up to 800°F/427°C when it’s needed to get those extra large hits we all are after sometimes to reach perfect relaxation. You won’t get precise control over the temperature but there is 25 preset temperature so it should not be a problem to find that perfect setting you are looking for. The Switch also uses induction heating that provides many benefits like more better flavour and less hot parts and it even giver you device a longer lifespan.

Vapor Quality:

Since you can use both herbs and concentrate with the Dr. Dabber Switch you I will break the vapour quality up into two separate explanations. With wax/concentrates you will get the most perfect, large and great tasting vapour clouds you can imagine already at low temperatures. With herb I found the Switch to be a bit trickier, but after a few times using it I found out the best way to get good hits, this is what I did. First I start with taking a hit on the next highest temperature to get all the great flavour and after that, I boost the temperature up to max and extract that last bit of THC from my herb and to get larger vapour production. On the highest heat setting with herb the vapour get a bit worse flavour but to me, it’s not to bad and I mostly use concentrates.

Build Quality:

I have been touching by this subject earlier in this product description but now we will get a little closer to it. With the above average price, the Dr. Dabber Switch is sporting we can’t expect anything else than the absolute best and I really think that Dr. Dabber has delivered with the Switch when it comes to that aspect. Everything from the detachable bubbler glass piece to the awesome filling chamber and the swappable battery are oozing with quality and it should meet the standards of even the pickiest perfectionist.

Battery Life:

 

This is one of the Switch’s stronger aspects, you can use it up to an astonishing 150 hits before it has to be charged. Do I even have to say more? This is crazy good and it definitely made this unit a lot more versatile, who wouldn’t want to bring a powerful e-nail on the next camping or beach trip? When the battery finally runs out of power you can easily charge it with the cable that comes with the device, it only takes about 2 hours to reach a full charge. The battery is also replaceable and that is always a good reassurance so that your expensive device won’t become useless when the battery dies after a few years of intense use.

Discreetness & Portability:

 

I would say that the Dr. Dabber Switch is neither portable nor discreet, but you can bring it with on an adventure if you really want. But if you are looking for a device that you can use when going to bars or the park on a sunny summer day you will have to keep on looking. Maybe Dr. Dabber Boost might be an option for you?

Pro Tip: The box you get the Switch in can actually be used as a carrying case for it to make moving it around a bit easier.

User experience:

 

The Dr. Dabber Switch is super easy to use, it doesn’t matter if you are a  seasoned vaping veteran or if you just starting out, this unit will deliver perfect hits from the very first time using it without any learning curve at all. There are only 4 buttons that control everything on the Switch, two of them is + and – for temperature settings. One is for switching between herb and concentrate mode and the last one (in between + and – buttons) is for turning on the unit and to access boost mode. Everything is really easy and this is one of the most straightforward and user-friendly e-nails that I’ve ever tried in my 10 plus years as a vaping connoisseur.

This is one solid e-nail that for sure holds up its promises and delivers exactly what Dr. Dabber says it will. The Switch is for the deep-pocketed enthusiast who wants to be able to switch between dry herb and waxy concentrates. The design & power is also spot on so the Dr. Dabber Switch often become the centre of attention when other likeminded connoisseurs drop by the office, first they see it then they want to try it.  there is really no drawback with this e-rig but if something should be mentioned, it is that it seems to vape concentrates a bit better than dry herb, but barely noticeable.
